1989 - The Birth of TRACER
It all began in 1989. Jean-Pierre Jacquinet founded TRACER, a company specializing in growing media, the development of substrates, and soil amendment products. This family-run business marked the beginning of a long journey dedicated to improving green spaces.
2000 - Between Reflection and Change
Ten years later, a specific request from a client for a living wall inspired François-Xavier Jacquinet, Jean-Pierre’s son and the current CEO of TRACER. This innovative idea became the catalyst for a significant transformation.
2006 - The start of the building's vertical greening
In 2006, after five years of hard work to establish and stabilize a natural, industrial, energy-efficient process that relied as little as possible on human intervention, TRACER entered the vertical greening sector for buildings. TRACER now offers building owners, developers, architects, local governments, and institutions its concept of custom green walls and planters. The Vertiflore system, patented with technical approval in 2016, is the greatest recognition of this research.
